The Heart of the Gardens

At the heart of Whispering Gardens is the Ancient Oak, the oldest living tree in the land. This majestic old lady is as tall as the tallest mountain, and so enormous that a hundred families linked arm in arm cannot reach around her girth. The Tree is Whispering Gardens' "town square," a public meeting place where the Gardens' families hold festivals and celebrations. The Oak's canopy of branches contain an exotic cornucopia of life, including butterflies, birds, snakes, and insects which never touch the ground.

Among her vast network of roots, lies an increcible world of twisting tunnels, cavern and rivers, encompassing a vast underground landscape.

But most magical of all is what is inside the tree...

  • Fairies

    The Ancient Oak is the home of Terra, the Spider Fairy and her legions of Fairies who protect Whispering Gardens.

    Only Terra has the power to spin the protective cacoon which binds the light and dark halves of the Sacred Seed. Her web which spins out from her wingtips is powerful-- strands can be used as a weapon in battle. Her wings are beautiful but strong. They are able to camouflage her in times of distress. She is as lithe as a ballet dancer and as graceful in her movements. To see her fly is to witness a miracle.

  • The Sacred Seed

    Within the tree is the awe-inspiring Cathedral Chamber holding the Sacred Seed. The vaulting, glorious chamber is as breathtaking as any of Europe's cathedrals. The Sacred Seed is the symbol for the origin of life, and it embodies the power and magic of Nature. To destroy the Seed would end the Gardens as we know them.

    The Heirloom Seeds are the first seeds generated from the first flowers are gathered by Seed Fairies. The Heirloom Seeds are the universal treasure of the Garden.

You Must Learn to Listen To Hear the Whispers

The magic of life is that everything under the stars speaks and has knowledge. These are the Whispers. The quality of the sky may hint at a change in the weather. The shape of a leaf describes the tree. The rock reveals how it came to be. The signs are often subtle. Nature's Whispers are everywhere, though few can hear them.

In Whispering Gardens, these Whispers have a power all their own. They are inextricably linked to Nature and Existence. The Whispers flow outward from every living thing and flood inward through every beating heart.

To hear the Whispers, one must first listen to one's own heart. Believing in the Whispers involves discovering your innermost talents and abilities which are different in everyone. Heed and nurture these Whispers and they will grow and flourish. Hearing the Whispers becomes easier when one learns how to listen.
