Moonflower is the spiritual center of the group.  She is deeply intuitive, and knows the rhythms of Nature and Her communications. She understands the secret life of plants.  She knows when Nature needs a helping hand. Her sensitivity and compassion for all living things allow her to see the Gardens with open eyes.  Of all the Whisper Kids, she is the most likely to notice the bloom of a new flower, the first to stop and admire sunlight reflected on the water.

During the course of adventuring, Moonflower will develop a special relationship with Terra, the Spider Fairy. With Terra’s guidance, Moonflower will further recognize her own Whisper Powers.

Writer and Poet

When you live in a place as magical as Whispering Gardens, every day is a wonder.  Moonflower’s passion is to study and expand upon her Grandfather Caraway’s diary of adventures. When she writes about her experiences, she records her observations in this cherished diary. The diary is a valuable resource when the Whisper Kids need to recall their previous adventures. Moonflower also writes poems that relate the beauty and pleasures of the Gardens. Her writing helps her make sense of her experience.  And by sharing her insights with the other Whisper Kids, she also furthers their own appreciation of Nature.

Big Sister

Moonflower is the oldest and most responsible of the Whisper Kids. She can be a little too straight-laced at times.  The boys especially feel they can’t goof off if Moonflower disapproves.  The kids trust her judgement and quietly look to her for guidance in times of trouble. While adventuring, she is cautious and protective, firm, yet bending. She always strives to let her conscience be her guide, and is sometimes reluctant to act. Though Licorice fancies himself “commander” of the Whisper Kids, Moonflower is their true guide.

She Hears the Whispers

Moonflower’s deep compassion and thoughtfulness has granted her the special ability to hear the Whispers of Whispering Gardens more clearly than the other Whisper Kids. She is intuitive, to the point of having a “sixth sense.”  The Whispers key her in to hidden dangers.  She senses when someone is lying, and she finds the truth.  She hears the whispers of plants and animals, even when she doesn’t exactly understand what they are trying to tell her.  Terra will choose her to lead a new generation of wise counselors.  This is Moonflower’s destiny.
